Prepared for you by your insurance agent

Setting up your UnitedHealthcare member account

Registering takes about two minutes and lets you pay your bill, see your plan documents and print your ID card whenever you need them. The same site works for UnitedHealthcare individual, family and supplemental plans underwritten by Golden Rule or Chesapeake, including SureBridge policies.

Before you start

Waiting on your packet? Plan packets are mailed to you and can take a couple of weeks after your effective date. If yours hasn't arrived, don't guess at the number — call me or member services and we'll get it for you.
Have a Short Term or TriTerm Medical plan? If your Short Term Medical plan was purchased before 5/22/2026, or your TriTerm Medical plan before 8/17/2026, your account is at myuhone.com instead of the Member Hub. The steps are the same.

The five steps

  1. Go to the Member Hub

Open uhcmemberhub.com in your browser. On the home page you'll see two buttons. Under "New Member?" choose Register.

  2. Tell them who you are

Enter your first name, last name, date of birth, and the last 9 digits of your Insured ID. Then select Continue.

  3. Verify it's really you

A one-time code is sent by text or email. Enter it to confirm your identity. This is a security step — it protects your health information.

  4. Create your HealthSafe ID

Choose a username and password and set your security questions. HealthSafe ID is UnitedHealthcare's single sign-in — you only create it once, and the same login works across their member sites and mobile app.

  5. Sign in and confirm your plan is there

Once you're in, check that the plan you registered with shows up. If it's missing it may still be loading — give it a day, then call so we can check on it. Have more than one policy? See the section just below.

Registering more than one policy?

Each UnitedHealthcare policy (Golden Rule, Chesapeake or SureBridge) has its own Insured ID, even when they're all in your name. Gather the ID for every policy before you start. You'll find them on your ID cards or welcome letters.

Several policies in your name

  1. Register once, using the Insured ID from any one of your policies (steps 1–5 above).
  2. After you sign in, select Manage Plans in the top menu.
  3. Add your next policy using its Insured ID. Repeat for each policy.

Don't create a second account. One HealthSafe ID holds all of your policies.

Your spouse or family is on the same policy

Only the policyholder (the primary insured) needs to register. Everyone covered on that policy shows up under that one account.

Your spouse has their own policy

They register separately, with their own Insured ID and their own login. UnitedHealthcare uses one login per insured adult, so they'll also manage that policy's payments under their own account.

A few things to know

  • Dental: add it in Manage Plans like any other policy for billing. Your dental ID card and claims are at myuhc.com, using the same login.
  • Older Short Term or TriTerm Medical plans (bought before 5/22/2026 or 8/17/2026) live at myuhone.com, so they won't appear in the Member Hub.
  • Check your bills: once your policies are added, open Manage My Bill to confirm each one is listed and its payment method is current.
  • If a policy won't add, call me or member services and have its Insured ID handy.

If one of your plans is dental

Dental ID card & claimsHandled at myuhc.com. Your dental plan uses a separate dental ID number, which you request there — it is not the same number you use at the doctor.
Dental premium & billingStays in the Member Hub at uhcmemberhub.com, along with your other plan.
Your loginThe same HealthSafe ID username and password works on both sites. You do not create a second account.

What you can do once you're registered

  • View your coverage and plan benefits
  • Pay your bill, set up automatic payments, and see payment history
  • View or print your ID card, where your plan provides one
  • Look up network doctors, dentists and pharmacies
  • See policy documents and Explanation of Benefits
  • Update your address, phone or email
  • Send a secure message with a question

If something doesn't work

"We couldn't find your information"Check that your name matches your application exactly — no nicknames — and that the date is in mmddyyyy format. Brand-new policies can take a day or two to show up. If you have an older Short Term or TriTerm Medical plan, try myuhone.com instead (see the note above).
You may already have a HealthSafe IDIf you've ever used myuhc.com or the UnitedHealthcare app, you likely already have one — and you only ever need one. Don't register again. Use Sign In, or Forgot Username on the sign-in page to find it.
The security code never arrivesCheck your spam folder, confirm the phone number on file is current, and request a new code. If the number on file is wrong, call and we'll update it.
A plan is missing after you sign inCall member services and have your policy number ready — or call me and I'll follow up for you.
